Nikki Taylor's fascination with the simplicity of a pen started just a year ago following a life-altering medical event when she was a divemaster in the Bahamas. Never having drawn before, she started working with pen and ink while in the hospital. Nikki’s aim is to create moving Images that make the viewer look twice at the detail and the story behind each of her creations.

 

Nikki Taylor draws her inspiration from living on various islands across the Caribbean. She was born and raised in Florida and has always been inspired by her surrounding natural environment, the ocean. As a divemaster, she has logged over 600 dives around the world from the crystal-clear waters of the Bahamas to remote islands above South America.

 

Her desire to create underwater photography and pen art quickly replaced her bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and medical school plans.

 

"To me, there is nothing more rewarding than the intimate moments beneath the surface which is where my art is born," Nikki Taylor explained. She hopes her art and creativity will help save our oceans and inspire positive actions by her viewers.
